What is the trouble as it involves only the 4 head bolts and the single hanger on the bottom - depending on what kind?

Doesn't it fit?

Nothing is ever as easy as we think it might be.

My guess, because you asked for help is that you are rather green to the wrenching thing. Even though this task is not a difficult one, it does present the n00b wrencher some difficulties.

First, the O2 sensor
If you do this yourself; before you loosen any of the nuts/bolts holding your existing cat in place, make sure you have the ability to break the O2 sensor loose. It is not as easy to do as one might think; it can be very frustrating with an open end wrench.
If it won't break loose with an open end, you have two choices, get a socket specially made for the task, it has a slot in it to allow for the O2 wire or you remove the tank the follow the O2 wire all the way to the connection and disconnect it.

Second;
It is easy to snap off exhaust nuts and bolts. Take your time and don’t over tighten

Third:
Get some High temp RTV silicone to put on all the connections.

Your in the most tree-hugging areas of the country, I went to school there, and you can't find anyone to help you remove catalytic converter. Imagine that.

Thanks for the assumption **GUESS** that I'm a noob wrencher. My experience with my exhaust bolts has been with an air wrench, I'd rather not injure myself if it's an option.

The considerations are very much appreciated. I need a workshop and have talked with those that have installed them. Do you have a workshop in SC??

The best mechanic can do nothing without tools and some form of workshop.

Not with space for another bike and project at this time, sorry.

Y pipe install

What brand on Y pipe are you wanting to install? With or without a muffler?

I've installed a stainless Y pipe on a 1150GS and a 150GSAdv, would be glad to walk you through the procedure.

Fairly simple with only a couple of caution points.

No complicated tools, shims, gaskets or adjustments required.
