2009 Yamaha Zuma 125

Looking into this after I hear from a dealer friend on their inventory. I will be selling off my 2 50cc Razz's and use this for around town and possibly a 25 mile one way commute on 55mph roads....silly?

EDIT, found new 09's not far from me for $2199, plus fees. Hoping to get one in the box and avoid their "set up" costs if I go this route.

My friend manages the service dept for a local dealer and quoted me $2921.55 OTD for a new 09. tax/title/tags and "at their cost" whatever that means.

That is almost exactly what I paid in Southern California for mine this past weekend. I was at $2992 OTD, but that included a $150 two year extended warranty (Y.E.S.).

Seems like too many fees. I may go in Saturday to get a detailed list. I don't want it setup, just in a crate tax/title/tags/doc fee and get me outta there. Plus there is a $300 cash back on the 125 right now.

I actually didn't pay any dealer/freight fees at all. Here is the break down of what I paid, which is required in CA.

• Sales price of $2472 (that included the $300 Yamaha incentive)
• Sales tax of $216
• DMV license fee of $95
• Documentation fee of $55
• California tire fee of $3.50
• Optional Extended 2 year warranty (Y.E.S.) of $156

All of the fees, with the exception of the extended warranty are mandatory in California. I shopped around for months and this was easily the best deal I could find. I would've been out the door for $2841 without the extended warranty.

Thanks, the same fees are required here as well, but will likely vary some. I want to get it for the ~2200 I have found at another dealer, plus the fees and no real need for the warr. IMO, but we will see.

Picked up my new z125 today and immediately installed the new footbar/peg combo from KillerScooter/BTX once I got home. Much comfier for my taller self. I also have a spare set of 13" apehangers that I might put on if I get super bored this winter. I'm going to be getting some looks anyway, so I figure why not add some righteous apes into the mix?

My breakdown from what I recall from the dealer (he would not gimme the breakdown to keep)

• Sales price of $2599 (that included the $300 Yamaha incentive)..yes I laughed at their "cost"
• Sales tax of $130
• DMV license fee, Documentation fees totaled $195
• $2924 Out the door

Going to the twin cities after New Years and they have some now for $2299, but have a $199 set up fee on top of that. If I can get that deleted or one in a crate I am buying it and will pay my states tax/fees on my own.
