You already mentioned the 378... the 478 is the preferred version of the x78 series, and it does the sliding scale preferences.
FWIW, neither the 378 nor the 478 are listed as discontinued on the Garmin site. Here is a current list of marine products: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=148 You'll find the 378 and 478 listed near the bottom of the page. Discontinued or not, the 478 is a great GPS. Jamie

Garmin's website still lists the 478 and 378, but try to find one for sale. I found a 378 on Ebay but the Buy it Now price is $999.00. A bit too pricey.

Although the 2610 is discontinued, you can still find them refurbished or used on Amazon and EBay.
