OK, so we now have a couple of interested parties. I have cleared it with my boss to use our companys permanent camp at Cooinda overnight saturday night as long as we look after it and leave it clean. We have 8 permanent safari tents with Beds, matresses and pillows fitted out. You only need to bring a sleeping bag-too easy. $10.00 per night per adult fee paid to Cooinda resort to use campground facilities, showers etc and buy a steak, pizza whatever for dinner and wash it down with a beer.

Now a deal like that doesn't come along every day and will save carrying a lot of gear.

Suggested itinerary.
AM saturday
-Coolalinga shops 09.30
-Bark Hut
-Old Jim Jim Road with stops at White lily billabong, sth all river.
-To Cooinda for lunch
-Check out our camp and leave excess gear there
PM saturday
-Ride down to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) about 1 hour sth of Cooinda Bitumen/dirt
-have a swim and make sure the Swedish backpackers are behaving themselves.
-Return Cooinda for the night, beer and steaks
AM Sunday
-Depart Cooinda early (daylight)for Jim Jim Falls, stopping at Garnamarr campground for a break before the 4wd track to Jim Jim.
-Option of walk and swim at Jim Jim plunge pool
-Ride back out to Kakadu Highway and go via Cooinda to pickup gear
-return to darwin via Old Jim Jim Road
