What rallies should be included in ADV Annual Rallies?

As the number of rallies created by members of this community grows, we need to get a handle on the events that can be posted here.

So reply to this post with the names of the rallies that should be considered ADV Rider Annuals.

BYOB
Westfest
Eastern Rendezvous
Cromag
Rocky Mountain Adventure
Central Rally
SLAP
W.M.R.S.
Smokin Hole Rally
Death Valley Noobs Rally
Roll the Bones Rally

This subforum is really easy to keep track of as it is. Why change anything? That being said, the central rally is the best rally I've ever been to...it really needs to be on that list.

Edit: SLAP is sort of an institution, too.

Nothing's changing. Threads have been pruned from this forum for years.

Central Rally and SLAP have been added to the list.

Looks like you covered everything in the list unless there's one from the PNW ?

I have a question... (I'm surprised Klay didn't jump on this.)
Did you misspell "Rendezvous" or is it spelled "Rondezvous" with a nod to the BMW Rondel ?

Nope, just bad spelling on my part.

There seem to be some others in Europe and Latin America as well.

PNW Wetfest, formerly known as the PNW Gang Bang.

The first 2 Gang Bangs were in '04 & '05. Missed a year in '06, then restarted in '07, under the new Wetfest name.

Here's one criteria I think all adv annual rallies should have . They should be a ADV gathering , not a rally that is organized by non advrider.com folks that some adv'ers might attend . I see alot of those every year that post an event that is an ongoing event that ADV'ers want to attend and want others to know about , but they are not adv rallies

+1 that they should be ADV Rally's.

I would personally like to nominate the Jim Thorpe Smoking Hole Rally for Annual Status. This past year was our 5th Consecutive Year to have this rally in Jim Thorpe PA. The two brothers (Brothers Grim) who have hosted this event the past 5 yrs put on two rides (An off-road and a DS ride ). We have been able to keep this as a somewhat low key somewhat small event that's attended by folks from the region and surrounding states. Hell we even had some ADV Wack Jobs that traveled over 500 miles of Slab to make it out from Michigan this year. Not every one of our attendants are ADV inmates but over 95% are, which I think would satisfy the Annual Status.

Yes , see page one . all the real official ADVRider.com Rallies are listed there.

What about the First Annual KotW. Organized by ADVriders for AdVriders, and totally planned on ADVRider....other than the blog on the website.

A true Rally as it has been inspired by combining elements of the Dakar and the Baja 1000.

Next year it will be called the Border to Border and Back Rally. Figure that one out.

I heard people could get hurt on that KotW Rally (kingsofthewestrally.com)
pretty much just the nuttiest of the Advrider group...
