Last year, got all three Impala with one freak shot.
First was a neat head shot and the bullet deflected getting the other two. ![]() Luckily all three were decent sized and died on the spot. Not particularly proud of the incident. I honestly thought it was clear behind and it's head was up. Still you should be 100% certain of what is behind your target. |

From 2007 over neat Tonasket
Well I don't have me killing anything. But the caption on this one was: "you want me to climb up that steep hill? ![]() This one, ...i don't know, just taking a break I guess. ![]() Caption for this: "I think I see a Wendy's over there.....let's roll" ![]() And me messing around in my tent all by myself. I was laughing and people outside were like what the what? I'm easily ammused. LOL ![]() And finally, if you cant find anything hunting, there is always Geocaching! It was my first find above Loomis Washington. ![]() Up on Hell's Half Acre......looking for something to move. ![]() Me on the Blackberry.....no wonder I never shoot anything, I'm too busy goofing off...LOL ![]() Discovered this a couple of weeks ago on the trail at work. Now where did I put that bear tag? ![]() ![]()

Moved to Colorado from England a few years ago and just got my first Elk and Deer tags (DF018O3R, EF028O3R). I was invited to join friends who work for the DOW and fisheries. What a great chance for an education!

14 point
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Roughed him out at 158" gross. Taxidermist is supposed to get me score sometime, he told me my figure was a few inches too low. Here's an 11 point I took from the same area a couple of years ago. The 11th point is a nontypical on the left main beam that you can see easiest in the last pic. ![]() ![]() ![]() Non-Typical 10 I took back in 2003. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just to give you an idea, his right main beam at the mid point just before where the little bump comes down is 4.5" around. The abnormal kicker that L's off the back is 6". |

Some nice pics here. Here are some of the nice bucks I've taken over the years:
I think this one was in 99 or 2000: ![]() This one was in 2005: ![]() This one was in 2006: ![]() All taken in Marquette County, WI with this family heirloom. It's a sporterized 1903 Springfield rechambered to .270. The stock work was done by my uncle 10 or 15 years ago. His eyesight is no longer good enough to do this kind of work, but at nearly 80 he still hunted opening day this year.
