Western Montana Tracks?

I'm looking for a dirt route (or tracks I can use to piece together a route) from Missoula, MT down thru Hamilton, MT for gas and then on to Anaconda, MT.

Then Anaconda, MT to Salmon, MT the next day.

I got a bunch of options thru Mapsource, but want to make sure what I'm picking out will be ridable and open and at least someone has done it before. The forest service maps are not the best IMO.

This is part of a larger trip where we are doing a large 8 day loop out of Pocatello, ID.
