Central City Pkwy, Colorado
From I-70 near Idaho Springs to Central City, does the Pkwy exist? I'm laying out a route up thru that area in Mapsource. Both it and Google Maps shows it to exist, but Google Earth doesn't show it on the ground.
I'm sure it's just GE is outdated for that area, but want to be sure. Thanks

Thanks for the info Bill. The Pkwy looks to be a 4 laner. Don't want that.
The Oh My God Rd looks like it has a hard way and and easy way. The hard way being up 281, but the curvy, easy way looks more interesting and with perhaps more to see. I'm going to be on my Vstrom 650. Coming from Texas headed for Ft Collins. Head out Wednesday. Going to try Phantom Creek rd on my way up too.

Oh my god is pretty nice. The hard way isnt really that hard, its just alot faster, and you dont get to see as much. Taking oh my god proper has some really cool views, just stay on your side of the road around corners ;)

I pass through that way pretty regularly, and you can go wrong with the scenery on either. Which way are you planning going to Ft Collins? I highly recommend staying north on Hwy 119 from Blackhawk to 72 to 7 along the eastern border of Rocky Mountain National Park, and then down Hwy 34 from Estes Park to Loveland through Big Thompson Canyon (we share Fort Collins' southern boundary here in Loveland). My Strom and I like that route a lot

If you take 2 brothers road from Idaho Springs (go straight when the sign to Central City points right) you will avoid all of the twists on Oh My God road. It's still a nice drive and much quicker than going through all of the twisties, but doesn't have quite the views of Oh My God.
