We just had the r90 a week and a half ago out here to change memory cards and batteries in the trail cams. Worked well off road.

Love it!

Just one of many great shots of my daughter. Always wanted a Rokon. Kept it a while and got it out of my system.

Just turned 1 last week....It's been the best year of my life being a father, I can't believe she just turned 1 and to mom and dad's surprise she started walking on the night of her birthday. Took off across the living room floor and now she's non stop on the move. Loves hanging out with Daddy in the shop also.

P.S. Her Baby Brother is due in November !!

Look at those big brown eyes.....

Moving into her own apartment

My little girl never liked the motorcycles so got into something more dangerous:

But now she's got her first apartment and actually moving out for real.

Her room hasn't been this empty since we moved in a long time ago and it reflects the hole in me. This hurts almost as much as leaving her at college the first time.

Dads, get out and be active one on one with them. Keep the camera around too. This day came WAY too fast.

We lately spent some time in Italy at „Nonna“’s place, letting the little shote at least spend a bit of time with her grandma, and on territory of a major part of her roots.

There is that shop around the corner, selling all kind of kid’s gear. It is usually, after a stop at the celateria, the second place we visit when down there.
Immediately at the entrance this very neat little plastic ¼ original size Ducati Monster (with ignition-key, 12V power engine and 2 shift gearbox) caught my attention.

Darn, has there been such cool stuff around in my childhood too?? If so, htf did they hide it from me?
Now, me myself, I’m actually not too much into Italian motorcycles but, hey, what’s not first choice for me, doesn’t necessarily have to be not Cooltouresse first choice too, nuh!?

Well, see her opinion on that topic by yourself:

Than I turned around and discovered this….

OK? Do we take that one, still if it does not have a motor (yet)? Well, I don’t have the clear and unmistakable YES on a picture, but, belief me; it was more than a unmistakable “Yes” at all!

Than Cooltoursesse’s mom entered the place… and both of us awoke the very same moment.

Later on that day, we went to the playground, just for a bit of practicing and “how would it feel like”…

A Year Old!!!

Thought I'd update everyone as I had posted a lot here previously during some dark times with Juliet's health and I get a PM every once in a while asking how she is doing. . .

Juliet turned 1 on 9/3 and is doing much better. A little of a seizure type activity where she can't stop shaking her head "No" and some other minor niggles. She's been down for the count with a 2 week long stomach bug and feeding has been difficult due to some lingering problems from her laryngomalacea but other than that things are looking up.

I had to sell my GSPD due to a change in job status so in order to get Juliet "on two wheels" I've been taking her out in the bicycle trailer; she loves it!

An anonymous ADVRider had Juliet a VERY generous birthday gift and very nice card, it's nice to know we haven't been forgotten.

I've learned a lot in the past year from being a father, about myself, about what's important in life, and about making every minute count. If her first year went this fast, it seems like she'll be driving next week!

I've included her a picture I took on her birthday.

Hope all of you dads are enjoying your daughters, I know mine means the world to me.

Ride Safe,

Alex

Glad to hear she is doing better and on the right track. Little Juliet is a couple of days younger than my little girl (a couple of posts up) and it's hard to believe that it's been a year.

I also tote mine around in the bike trailer to get her out and about. Fun times.

Here's to having your priorities straight as a father and to good health for little Juliet and all the little daddie's girls on ADVrider in the years to come.

Great picts and stories dad's!

Daughters are the best!

Here are some of me and my two daughters.

The first two, are a couple of me and my youngest daughter from last April.

Us doing the Hans & Frans bit,

My youngest & I are already planning a 5000 mile trip through Canada next year.

Here is my oldest daughter and me out in California this last summer.

First time she ever set foot in the blue waters of the Pacific. At sunset no less.

Redo of an old photo

Back when I owned this 1917 Indian I came across this vintage photo. My daughter was a similar age at the time so we re-staged the shot. The bike is now long gone but what a great old bike. Had a sidecar on it but removed it for this shot.
