Isle of Wight Scooter Rally 2010
Proclaimed as the biggest scooter rally in the world the little island I live on is host to 6000 scooters over the August bank holiday weekend. Most of the action centres in Ryde a classic British seaside town. That said the island is only 60 miles around so you are pretty much going to see a scooter wherever you are this weekend.
I managed to get out and take some pictures on Saturday morning and Ryde was heaving and had a constant whiff of expensive two stroke oil.
I love the smell of two stroke in the morning it reminds me of ........scooters!
This wasn't a show this was just guys and girls parked up and enjoying a day out
Ryde pier in the background which runs old London tube trains as part of the Isle of Wight rail network
Mint classics were everywhere
Traditional Mod style is still popular too
Dapper dan wearing AllTheBlazerAllTheTime
Rustoration is gaining in popularity
One of my personal favourites this has all carbon fibre bodywork a trick tein shock front end and a tuned 250 engine. Very trick very understated.
Did I say it was rammed?
I have aq soft spot for Italjet Dragsters as I used to have a 180 a few years back. This one featured some pimp daddy mods including a flock coated engine casing! Fuzzy engines you saw it here first.
Thought this old rod style was cool
One for the MP3 fans here
And one for the fiat 500 fans. I love puddlejumpers
More rustoration it had an interesting sticker
Might be a good avtar for some one?
I want another one of these.
Lots of work in here
Nice gold leaf work
These guys sell carbon scooters with normal engines or special engines from RD/RZ Yamaha 350 LC or a tuned 155 was 125 Aprilia. They started the Aprila engined one up ( not pictured) whilst I was there it sounded amazing. With a twin shock twin front brake front end its supposed to handle really well too.
Well thats the lot I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures.
All the best

Very cool, thanks for posting!!!
The world would be a better place if there were fewer people who felt like they needed to teach other people a lesson.
