Question Other Allstate bikes?

A co-worker of mine says that her Dad has an old bike or scooter in his barn that has not been used for years. She says that it says 'Allstate' on it - she thinks. She doesn't think that it is one of the rebadged Vespas. My question is, did Sears bring over other small motorcycles or scooters and sell them under the Allstate brand? It's red, if that make an infinitesmal amount of difference.

Also they had a rather rare....

...step thru that replaced the blue badges. I believe they were Jawa or Puch made. Typical step thru with shields, but traditional mount moto-tank.

it's made by Puch (1961 - 1966)

That's an Allstate Compact. This is the early one with metal front fender and twist shift. 60cc 3 speed, top speed of about 40 on a good day. The later version had a plastic front fender, a white painted tank, a Vespa looking headset and a foot shift.

Parts are still available, the bikes themselves are still pretty cheap on eBay and elsewhere.
