Rim swap respoke, new spokes?

Maybe this is a obvious answr but Im wanting to swap out the old chrome rims for a set of shouldered alloys for my project.

When lacing a new wheel do/should new spokes always be used? Can old spokes be used for the new rim?

Anyone have a good source for new spokes? Its a 1972 Suzuki GT750.

Thanks, I got a quote from Buchanans and maybe a little too expensive for me right now. They are stainless, $106 for the front set and $108 for the rear.

That isn too bad honestly. old spokes tend to rust in the nipple, and will probably break when you go to unlace the old rim, or when you go to lace up the new one. I'd rather just replace the spokes and get it trued up nicely. much much less long term headache.

Just search ebay for GT750 spokes.

Every once in a while you'll find a set that's reasonably priced and not from Bangkok. Paul Miller Motorcycle (ebay store) has a lot of goodies for the GT's and T bikes.

Thanks, I guess I can find the rims and spokes but Im not sure how to tell if the spoke holes will be at the right angle for my drums.

Id make the investment, but Im not sure I want to buy on a test basis.
