kick start not working any more please help

Hi guys my girlfrind has a vespa et2 and the battery is dead and bike was fine apart from that. so i decided to charge it and put a little bit of life in it and tried to kick it over the battery died and the kick start wont move now and petrol is leaking from just above overflow pipe if that is what it is.
so if any one now's what to do before she finds out and my nackers go on the block i would a very happy man.

try one of the vepsa forums out there if no one here is a vepsa fantic here. just google it. It might not be your fault that it died if she just left it sitting around for ages. her carb could well have needed cleaning and gas leaking can be sign of that.
