I was thinking of mating up my 92 XLH 1200 sportster to a hack. My question, When you park is there a break to keep it from rolling or do you have to leave it in gear????
Also whats the least expensive hack with a trunk???

You leave the bike in gear. I suppose you could rig a velcro strap for the front brake lever if you were worried about it.
Velorex is probably the cheapest on the used market. It doesn't have a trunk but on most units the seat back folds forward for storage behind even if there is not a trunk.

+1
I use a Velcro strap on the front brake when I want to leave the rig running at idle. The strap goes around the master cylinder when not being used. However I leave it in gear when parked normally (engine not running) I have seen rigs with linked brakes that have a handle to engage the rear/car brake, but the strap works fine for me. |
