I've really been thinking about this. My bike will be street legal, but in Colorado you only need a brake on one wheel to be legal. I think I'll stick with both brakes, but I'm not sure yet.

Another subscriber, and a vote to restore it to an adventure bike. You can always get a bonded title.

I'm thinking of not putting a front brake on it to be more "flat track" style.

Yeah, I think Schmoo would just ride straight across Hastings Mesa, regardless of road or trail, and usually a few beers up. It took quite a bit of abuse to get where it is now, but i just couldn't let it rot. I enjoy seeing Pablo do something cool with it, whatever it is, as long I get at least one ride out of it sometime in the future!

You can make it flat track style without compromising you or anybody's else's safety. Hell most people wouldn't know, I would wager, that tracker's dont have front brakes. More so if it is going to see street duties, as things happen on the street that I would want the most brakes I could afford, due to other driver's inattention.

Flat Track Builds

I'm going to list a few flat track build for my reference...

Here's a nice street tracker conversion on an NX650 (similar to the XRV). Good info on building a seat and subframe.

Here's and XL350 build:

And here's a GR650 build that I'm going to do for practice before the XRV.
