Rally-Raid Tanks and Mecaystem Fairing ?
Hi Wilhelm,
Judging from this photo it seems you have combined the front tanks from Rally-Raid products (www.rally-raidproducts.co.uk) with the fairing from Mecasystem (www.mecasystem.fr). Does this combination work well ? Did you have to modify the fairing to fit with the tanks ? I'm looking into building a bike for amateur rallies based on the KTM 690E. I like the tanks from Rally-Raid products, but their fairing is very bulk. The one from Mecasystems looks more nimble. Regards, FechFech |

Mostly stock bike (yet). Fortunately had heated grips when bought it and put on studded tyres I had from a 400EXC I sold. Not even close to road legal and terrible on tarmac, but unbelievable grip on hard snow. Also had xenon lights from the 400 that is on now. And a few touratech bits.
Great bike (and TALL) and I'm definitly the weak link. Feel a bit like the guy buying a GSXR1000 the day after getting the license... ![]() ![]() ![]()

GiMoto,

We had to put it vertical to get the water out, otherwise it behaved like a water gun. I am thinking of installing a peacock at the front of the airbox so I dont have to pull the thing apart if I take it swimming again. One of the BMW's did the same thing and ended up with water in the oil. Mine was still running under water for a few seconds. Good Austrian engineering... or luck...

I like the Safari Tank with the Graphics! We are getting some made for these tanks in the next couple weeks. I like the white on there though!
