This ones pretty much set up for desert and D/S. I'm hunting another 450x to turn into a woods bike, can't wait to get going on another.

Yeah, you took a brand new bike and stripped it from limb to limb and started modding it, that's a true gear head...

No, they were a set of used Talons off a bent up CRF450 supermotard. Price was right

The RAD cush is pretty nice but seems prone to eating cush bearings. Its a resized knock off of an older design KTM 640/950 hub which does the same. I hear Talon makes a better one though its probably a special order. I also think they offer it in a complete wheel already shod with an Excel double label rim too...if your ok with their spline drive aluminum nipples.

You have a 2005 with the old 3rd gear. They're known to be a little delicate especially if they're ridden on pavement, more or less engineered for the dirt to function as the cush.

I didn't want to lose a transmission screaming down hwy 1 in Baja with no support truck. Figured the cush adds that little bit of give the transmission needs, so far so good.

If I wanted to add cush hub to my XR600 what hub would you suggest?

Those are tough bottom ends. I wouldn't worry about it too much myself. Pretty much the same deal as a XR650L thats ridden on road all the time without complaint.

That said, I dunno

. Probably Talon or Rad is your only choice. I was thinking maybe an old XL600 but they were drum brake rears.

Nice looking for sure. Weird the way the exhaust can sticks up so high.
