Unless you have an early model R100RS with oil cooler and that bulky thermostat. For an oil and oil filter change on a long trip , I need to remove at least the exhaust pipe on the right side to be able to get the oil filter out. It is normally just as quick to take off the mufflers and loosen the left pipe as well to get the cross over separated.

So, yes I do carry one. It rests up inside the fairing under the headlight, tied to the fairing support rack.

These lil' bugars work great. I struggled like hell to get one of my nuts off (

- just kidding) and this tool hung in there. Heating the nut helped. Very pretty blue too!

The bore in the top of the wrench will accept anything with a 1/2" shaft for leverage.
