It's extremely rare that we get enough rain in the San Ysidro slot canyon to flood that entire surface, but parts of it can get a good washing now and then. The summer monsoon can really pour down the deeper, narrower part of the canyon. It's exciting to see.

I had so many clothes on that I was burning up. My snow pants were falling down under my rain pants so I cold hardly move around on the bike. But the worst part is fogged up glasses and not being able to see half the time.

Hey Neil, how did you do? How did you like the new bike? Were the sections all in the same areas as the November event?

I thought about going down for the event but didn't want to drive that far after seeing the weather forecast. The pics of the bike make me glad I stayed home.

No, we were at a different area. 1st on Sat., 2nd on Sunday. Fortunatly when we got on 35 and headed south we had no problem getting home. There was a rollover in the north bound lane(can't remember if it was south or north of Ft Worth) and it was a parking lot.

Well, it's quite a bit different than the 270. If I learn how to ride it, its going to be awsome! The stearing lock is crazy sharp and easy to tuck if your not careful. It's easy to overshoot in 2nd gear and first seems too low at times. And now that I've ridden in the wet at Muenster the brakes don't work, but thats normal.

The Muenster mud will quickly ruin a set of brake pads.

as well as chain, wheel bearings, shock linkage and fork seals... that sand is MISERABLE and 3 times i been there, 3 times it rains like hell! lol
