Pretty excited about the touring capability of the 250 now that it has luggage capacity. I posted a couple in a new thread but wanted to share one here too:

Agreed, that is a sweet looking bike.

Yeah, I hate Fly went out of business. The Scout is a pretty nice scooter. It has a dual clutch and the shifting is really smooth. Once I got the bugs worked out it runs really good.

Just before Fly closed I called them and asked about parts. They had a new 110cc engine assembly in the box. last one they had.
I bought it for $150 bucks..so I have a spare engine. I may save it for a Honda trail 90 or a passport.

The Scout is a very close copy of the Honda Passport. Many Honda misc parts will inter change.

Yeah, I got it from Red Dog scooters in Nashville.

I had to re-route some wiring and hoses. I removed the vapor canister and put a new one-way valve in the gas tank vent. I got it at Auto Zone for 3 bucks. The orginal one would not flow enough air and would stop up sometimes.

I put new fuel lines and a filter on, and changed the spark plug. I had to re-jet the carb. It was super lean. The pilot jet was #35, the main jet was #82. I went with a #38 pilot jet and a #90 main jet. It starts up well, idles really good and pulls hard all the way up to fifty. It will go faster but I haven't tried it out yet. I modified a K&N crank case filter to fit the stock air box. I am just waiting for spring now.

It's nice out today, get out and ride! I'm planning on getting out in a little while myself. Nice IS relative, of course, but I've ridden more this winter than I've really expected too, which I think is even more surprising with all of the snow we've received.

Yeah, Its going to be warm all week, unlike last week. I plan to get in a bunch of riding.
