Earles Forks on a /6?

I am contemplating attaching a sidecar to an R90/6 and I am wondering if a set of /2 earles forks will fit or will there be a lot fabrication to make them work?

Thanks, Dennis

I have done it a couple of times many years ago. You will have to use these bearings http://www.eurotechmotorsports.com/f...0&q_StartRow=1

.....and machine a cup style spacer to the same size as the /6 bearing race becuase the other bearing are not as tall and have a slightly smaller O.D.. It would also help to have a top clamp cut out of aluminum and drilled for the /5 on handlebar clamps.

I built this tug using a /6 frame. The Earls was modified by someone else. They replaced the ends to accept the later model axles and removed the rear stiffener brace altogether.... I have added a /5 axle in the rear holes for extra support. The top plate was modified for the later handlebar clamps. The headlamp mounting frames were made from round steel stock. The shock mounts were also refabricated to use modern shocks. A stock /6 fender is mounted with a round stock fender mount in the front. Mounted 80's Suzuki Tokico single piston calipers and the stock BMW master cylinder. I also installed a /5 friction damper and a VW hydraulic damper.
