You could throw stuff at them that falls off the KLR.

There was a thread over on THR, one of the guys wanted to remove the lead projectiles from shot shells and fill them back up with airsoft pellets for his kids to shoot at their friends. Needless to say, it didn't go over well.

you can get a 453 with a single set trigger. shoots just like a regular trigger if you just pull the damn thing.....but if you set it by pushing it forward first the pull weight can be set down into the oz's.

like having a bench rest gun's trigger with the field safety of a hunting trigger in one nice little normal trigger package.

so normal 3 lb pull weight...just pull.

got a good solid rock to shoot from and time to make a nice shot....line her up, push the trigger forward just a smidge and WHAMMO you have a bench trigger.

1894 price check....

got a trade offer of a new in box Marlin 1894 45LC. it s a commemorative model, 16" barrel, walnut stock. He says the short/round barrel is rare compared to the cowboy barrels, but I don't see where that makes it any more valuable.
I have no need for it, and it doesn't fit in my current gun wants, so I should pass. But....

Trade for what? Trading guns for me is kinda like trading bikes. even if one is worth more than what you have if you don't feel it or wan't it better you will be sorry. Sounds like a nice gun though value about $500.00

I'd agree with NDEBT, it's worth roughly $500-550 if it's in 98% condition or better. A lot of SASS guys like 45 lever-actions for match-shooting, and it'd make a nice mate for a 45 Colt revolver, but wouldn't likely be all that great for much else other than plinking, or very close-range deer/small game hunting. IMHO, the 357 and 44 Magnum 1894s are (marginally) more useful.

I have one in .357 in the safe already. It's a keeper due to the shared ammo thingy. This would be an oddball caliber in my collection.

Trading for one of my evil black guns. I am trying to sell it outright to build another evil black gun. This would most likely not spend any time with me before put up for sale, so I was more interested to see if it would be easier or more economical to do the trade and sell it. At $500, I don't think so.

thanks all.

So was most of the good stuff that would still work fine, although it wouldn't fit in with todays "Tacticool" look.

Hell, the AR was designed in the 1950s, approaching 60 years ago. And the 1911, so beloved of many and considered "the way to go" as a modern-day combat/SD or competition handgun, is 100 years old this year.

Re Sniper's comment about the tacticool look, I totally agree. I saw a guy at the range a couple of months back who had a Marlin lever-action of some kind, I think it was an 1894 in 44 Mag, and he had an Eotech mounted on it. Looked really funky, although it seemed to work just fine!
