Actually, that looks like a recoilless rifle. Should be virtually no effect on forward momentum, but lots of smoke out the back.

In "THE ILLUSTRATED HISTORY OF MILITARY MOTORCYCLES" by David Ansell. It states "1957 ACMA/Vespa TAP 56, 58, fitted with a recoilless rifle, procured by the French paratroopers."

When I first saw this picture I worked for a company that produced ammunition. I had a lot of fun with this picture. Every time my boss said we needed to cut testing cost, I would show him this picture and I would get a laugh. In all seriousness though the platform and weapon can be improved, but a lot more could be done with motorcycles in the military today.

This must put an end to the notion that scooters are for girls.

These scooters must also be the ultimate conundrum for guys who feel a need to compensate for smallness elsewhere. Yes, it's a scooter, but who among us wouldn't like to know we've got something long, hard and dangerous between our legs?

I dunno. It looks to me like it could very well CONVERT the driver into a girl. One helmet for your noggin and another for your nutz!
Any way you slice it, pretty cool scooter! Thanks for the pics.

I've heard of seats that ride "like a 2x4". But, that takes the cake.

I've heard of SUV drivers compensating for a lack of personal equipment. This is much more, uh, Freudian.
