I doubt I will do any freeway. The bike just isn't fast enough. And the handling is not there yet.

No. The jetting is stock and a bit lean. I have some jets on the way.

I know nothing about jetting, even though ive done it myself but never used open filters I would think you need at least a min of +5 maybe more. You may be pushing it too lean if its never been jetted. I would be careful. Plus when its cold weather its even leaner then normal

is the filter for looks, or performance because there are ones that look like yours but covered more like a stock setup. All I know is an open filter is super loud

Agreed. I adjusted the mixture as much as I could. The mixture screw is all the way out. And it's real close now. It might even be dead on now for the pilot. But the main still feels like it needs more. So I am not riding until the jets get here.

Yep running too lean is never good.

And it should be legal for freeway now. But yes, its just not a highway bike. The scooter wasn't designed to go more than 45 MPH in the first place, and 50-55 MPH won't cut it on an interstate, even in the right lane.

The jets came today. But I will be away for a few days. I don't wanna rush this.

Still going the stock Ruckus look, I put the stock heat shield on. Yes I know it's a kittle stretched. But I wanted low profile. Except for bike night. Then we go pimped. Ben has a matching red flashing collar.

Here is a quick test ride I took with the dog. After 45 it climbs slow. In this video I don't go passed 45mph.

Great vid. One thing you may want to check is the tire pressure! It may just be the road, but it sounds like the tires may be a little low. If their low, you'll lose 5-10 MPH easily! I know on my Elite 150 it'll top out at 58 MPH with I have them at 20-25 PSI, but at 40 PSI with the zippies it'll hit 65+ MPH on GPS. It will also make a huge difference in throttle response, it'll be much better.

Just something you may want to check. 400 pounds is also a lot of weight for a 150 cc engine, they really don't put out that much power.

I am happy with the results. I wanted to be able to cruise at 40 with the dog. Anything more is a bonus.

Well its still not a bad idea to check your PSI in your tires. It will increase MPG and engine wear if you don't care for more performance. Just a tip.

But I'm glad you got the results you wanted! It looks sweet!
