Tried out a set of 17in EX500 rims on the KLR today the front will have to go on backwards unless I can figure out how to turn the forks around and have the front brake hose to not kink. Go any hints

last i heard, those wheels were destined for the ex250. you scrap that project and decide to motard a KLR instead? don't know what that wheel looks like exactly, but the rotor should be on the correct side, then it's just a bracket to make a caliper fit.

Underneath it's the OEM ABS- panels, cut'n shut muiltiple times and heat-moulded around the tank-cheeks.
Filled and smoothed with contact-glue bonded heat-mouldable EVA (the mid-sole material of your Nike's etc), finished off with a contact-glued marine-vinyl (diamond pattern, often showing up as c/f in photos). 2-2.5 full days of work in a pair.

thanks, it is serious fun.
the gal in the photo is a rider and wanted to take the rat bike home with her, but claimed a different 650 from the fleet and took that one home instead...and now i understand that the hubby is cruising around on her new bike while making pretend check rides. |

It just dawned on me that an inmate has a factory rear KLR rim only for sale on here I may check into it. The caliper does not fly with me either but man it handles the turn faster now I will get tired of it and change it later.
Just took another look and I will go without my speedo for now, going to swap the forks back around The gps will do for now...
