Lots of good info here, I got mine today and after dealing with SPOT to redo my contract from my old unit to my new connect.
Then a few problems getting it all set up, all is well and now I am trying to figure what predetermined message to record. |

No, I had to start a new contract. They said I would get a refund of my old contract minus the rescue ins.

Spot II on $55 CLEARANCE at Best Buy
For anyone who will be satisfied with the Spot II functionality (which I am...), I just picked up a Spot II on Clearance yesterday at Best Buy for $55!!!
 I also did a Google search and found a Promo Code for 1 year of FREE "Tracking": 'everytrail23' --- Saves you another $49 in your 1st year  . If 'everytrail23' does not work for you/has expired (all the Promo's expire at some point), try 'hunterlife23'. If THAT doesn't work, do your own Google search and try to find a newer/valid code --- it's worth a few minutes fishing around...

Wow, that's a great price on the SPOT 2.
Unfortunately, those promo codes are no longer any good. :( As far as I know, there aren't any valid promo codes at this time. Rumor is that something might be starting up in May, though...  Quote:
