That was a pretty nice shed.
Could you move it into the back yard for the dirty stuff? |

I have been inspired to section a shop off the garage after browsing this thread and developing feelings of inadequacy.
24x8, 50 amp service, 24 outlets, heating and AC. I should be ready to paint and build some shelves before the spring projects start stacking up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() I did about 60 miles on the KLR this morning between work and meeting up with the building contractor. After doing the doohickey I really like the ride. Also, after buying this house, I can't afford one of them purty starfangled machines them people call Beemers.

Some updates on workshop construction within my pole shed.
Basically, I ended up not having the time to do it, so I hired someone. This was an excellent move, and has turned the project away from mediocrity to exactly what I want. The end of my pole shed is now framed, insulated and sheetrocked. Wire and outlets are placed, and the next phase is sand and paint. The builders rescued my 8 ft ceiling and turned it into a 9ft ceiling shop, which I am very happy about. And it's got a proper door. There will be 4 X 8ft flourescent tube lights on the ceiling. Later in the year (when fall comes around again but let's not think about that too much) I will add a propane heater. I have had wiring run for that purpose. Anyway, coupla pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The interior of the shop is roughly 16' X 30', which leaves approximately 25' X 30' left in the pole shed uninsulated for general storage - and building out at a later date. So far so good!
