Police Rodeo, Portland, 5/12-5/14

(Copypasted from one of my riding buddies)

So, starting tomorrow NAMOA (North American Motor Officer's Association) will be having their annual Training Conference. For all intents and purposes it is basically a Rodeo or Contest but we call it training. tard

Practice is Thursday and Friday and the final is Saturday. Not sure what time I will be riding but during practices it is pretty much open times unless I am helping instructing. Which they require all instructors to do atleast 4 hours of. There will be barrel racing, slow race and cone course. There are supposed to be like 7 or 8 Connies and I am very interested in seeing how the new 11's do.

Since this only comes to Oregon once every four years, it is very much worth coming up to watch. You will see some of the best riders in the Police area from Oregon, Washington, Idaho and British Columbia. Some of the RCMP guys defy physics on their Harleys!

Location where the patterns are:

K MART Parking Lot
12350 Northeast Sandy Boulevard
Portland, OR 97230

It is open to the public and feel free to share info with anyone you want to.

The Harley-mounted guys from Vancouver and Abbotsford BC were AMAZING.

My buddy finished in the top of the middle of the pack on the agility/proficiency courses, did ok in the barrel racing (he never practices it lol) and did pretty good in the Slow Bike Race with a time of 19 seconds to go 30 feet (on a 15 degree or so downhill slope).

It was a really good time.
