Great Western Trail -AZ area
A few inmates have asked me for this file. From Phx, it starts on Cave Creek Rd. and heads out through 7 Springs through some nice areas headed North. All big bike friendly so long as you go out Bloody Basin to I17.
If you take the GWT N. from Bloody Basin, make sure it hasn't rained recently and you may have a couple water crossings and rocky roads to deal with. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I couldn't find your original post on this so I thought I would ask here- how long did it take you to run this? Thanks, BH |

A couple hours I think? I'll pay more attention to it next time. I'm hoping to do this run in another week or two.

Hey thanks for that! My 950 is in Cave Creek right now waiting for me to ride her home late May. I plotted that route with my Delorme maps. I have an old GPS, but I don't think its maps will recognize Seven Springs Rd. It changes names a few times on my maps, until it gets to Bloody Basin Rd.
Is the route hard to follow without GPS?
