Question Garmin 276c Software Update

I need help gents. My Garmin 276C is operating on software v2.7. I downloaded the latest version (v3.3) off the garmin website, but have not uploaded it yet. My question is, Will the update/upload reset the odometer on my unit? If it does, is there any otherway to update the software?

Why are you worried about the odometer? How are you using it?

I'll repeat again here... The V7 is set up for lightweight/entry level riders.

It will reset the odometer and clear all your waypoints and tracks and think it's in Kansas.
I don't know of any other way to update.

As the Garmin Software Download page states, . . . save all of your 276c data before updating the software. Then reload your data afterword.

Yes----everything stored in it will be gone. You will also have to go thru and reset all you preferences.

If your bike weighs more than 400lbs. You might not make it.
