About 15 years ago was, heading to work down the interstate about 4:30 in the morning and still dark. Minimal traffic, but suddenly up ahead I see the few vehicals on the road brake lights and swerving. Concerned, I slowed way down and when I get up ahead there is some Rastafarian dude (dread locks), running around naked on the interstate.

Fair enough asshat, so now that you have made it clear that you have a reading comprehension problem do you have any "strange. The Odd… And the FUN" Stories you would like to share?
Of coarse it could be that in my attempt to make the thread opener short and readable I left enough room for misinterpretation for trolling dicks. Or maybe you were visiting Oregon driving a Black Mercedes.

Today I almost took out a pedestrian. She bolted out into the road no where near a cross walk or cross street. Luckily I saw her just in time....got to practice my quick stop. Didn't even have time to blow the horn. she saw me at the last moment so tragedy averted....She new she almost bought it and was in the wrong as she stopped half way across and waived me by....
Be careful out there..... |

On the way home from work last week. I pull onto the freeway that I ride every day. It has a limit of 110(kmph) so I'm travelling at right on the speed limit. Come up behind a black audi doing about 10 under so I move to overtake. As I'm passing he speeds up. I'm ending up sitting on 120 and he is not letting me pass so I slow back down and pull back in behind him. He then slows back down to about 10 under the limit. So I think stuff this and decide to nail him quickly, pull out and try to pass him and get in front. Look in my mirrors and he is coming up behind me really quick and starts overtaking me back.
At this point I decide im going to try to ruin his day. Coming up in about 2km is a crest of a hill where just over the crest nearly every friday evening is a cop with a speed gun. I start getting the speed up, getting him up to about 135 then just before the crest of the hill I slow right down to the speed limit. He goes over the crest going between 130-140 i reckon and as I follow him over I see the welcome sight of those blue and red flashing lights. I slow right down as I pass him pulled over on the side of the road and give him a nice friendly wave before taking off up the freeway on my own again.

Shamu would have been stuck, probably sounding her horn and might re-think the concept of not leaving herself an out by stopping a little farther back next time. If she were to honk, you could do what a friend of mine once did. Slowly walk up to her car and ask if she honked the horn. Once she acknowledges this tell her, "The horn is designed as an attention-getting device and I just wanted you to know that you have my full and undivided attention." No matter what, her behavior of "pushing" traffic will have backfired and she will be held up in a big way. Have a little fun with it next time. Even if you are late, you'll be laughing all the way to class.

Ok. here's one of my most recent...
I live on the extreme west side. We have places that are uncrowded, then go to city just like that. I pull up to a light where it is marked left turn, but straight ahead is a lane. Sprawl is just so fast, and the DOT so slow they haven't marked it with a straight AND left turn arrow yet... or I'll ASSume... So, knowing full well where I am, I pull up to a red light behind one cager, and two Harley's are sitting there rumbling and shooting the shit with each other... Wives/ol' ladies/bitches on pylon, not a stitch of gear between the 4. They were at a stop since the light came into view and could have proceeded several times... IF they bothered to care or read the laws that pertain to them. So, not wanting to possibly be crushed by a careless cager coming from behind, I split and pull up to the light to wait till I can go... And subsequently piss off a few oblivious-to-law, "bikers". So I pull up beside, and biker A immediately looks over at me and back to biker B and with a pft! says what is this shit? Looks at me and starts telling me how smart that move was and it was illegal and makes bikers look bad... Me, WTF and I just look straight... Thinking the logic of explaining the physics of a 250 dirtbike sandwiched between two cars might be too much to explain. Biker A revs the piss out of his bike about 3 times and I think great, there goes a gallon of gas right there, but at least someone got something out of the deal (the chick on pylon )So eventually light turns, all I hear is blah blah blah from the Harly's exhaust as we both race off, and he never pulls beside me... I hold up my hand a gesture; Two, five and a zero as he backs off.

Dunno, We have a BMW 3 series that is mainly the wifes car but when I get the chance to drive it its easy to see why people who drive these cars pay little attention. The car does alot of the work for you, all you really have to do is steer. You get very little feedback from the road and if your using all the 'driver aids' so long as the wheels are pointed in the right direction you could just doze off. No wonder they seem so innatentive... don't know whats makes them such asshats though, might ask the wife on that one.

So far one of my weirdest was the Route 32 expressway in Columbia, MD and getting behind a delivery van with the rear roll up door open and a guy in there playing a huge blue concert piano. I mean I can see riding down the highway playing a piano in the back of a delivery truck. But it was blue for God's sake. Who owns a blue piano? That one had me thinking flashback until other drivers started getting behind the truck for a look.
A couple of months ago I was taking my brother and sister-in-law to National Airport when we got flagged over by MPD motor cops on the Anacostia Freeway. My brother was like WTF. I told him it was just a motorcade coming. Wrong. It was a huge convoy of every type and company of moving van. Dozens of them with a huge police escort stopping freeway traffic for them. We lost count at 50 something trucks. A moving van convoy with a police escort? I still haven't puzzled that one out.
