15 days left!
We hope the Tiger's will be assembled today and we can have them to ride very soon. We need to try and get 1000KM on them before we leave and get a first service done. Time is tight between our last few shifts at work and trying to get all the final details in order.
Now it is starting to get exciting!

Well you don't have to clock up precisely 1000km Leslie as this is generally a don't exceed figure. More important, and to ensure engine longevity and reliability, it to run the engine in properly by not straining it with excessive steep hill climbs, good and frequent gear changes and of course no red lining.

How come you started a second thread about the trip you are going to do in July?
![]() You are going to love the Tiger. I have had mine for a few weeks now and it is a fun bike for how little they cost.

One thing to consider is that your BMW's F650GS twins have tubeless tires. The XCs (similar to the F800GS) have tubed tires. I'm sure you know this, but just in case... Are you bringing extra tubes, tube repair, and tire irons as well?
I'm looking forward to following you two on your nice adventure. Lion |

This is the "real" new improved and following the rulz thread.![]() As for the tubed tires....yeah we are bringing back up tubes, patch kit, tire irons etc....last year I got a nail in my rear tire on the second day of our cross country trip. Plugged it and off we went. Had the plug in the Heidenau rear for almost 20,000KM Tubed will be interesting if we get a flat...

The have been PDI'ed
The bikes are being charged up and now we are awaiting insurance and all the farkles to be inventoried and installed. We hope to have the bikes by this weekend and get some KM's on them and then get the accessories installed. Some items we have been told are back ordered from Triumph and we have some third party farkles we need to add to the list and are coming in as well.
Both of us have to work another 8 days out of the 15 left before we leave so getting saddle time in will be tight but we are optimistic the bikes will be sound and easy to adjust too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
