So I met with Dana and Nate at the Middleton Timmy's at the agreed upon 1000 hrs, beautiful weather, can't wait to get riding.....We did forget that it has p*ss poured rain for the last 3 days, that means water and mud, just what a big Beemer with Tourances loves.

It was hot so a quick dip in the cool water was in order, after that it was off to New Germany for pizza, then off to LaHave for Nate, Berwick for Dana and Bridgetown for me....hope more can join us for the next trip.

Not quite, a little detour was in order at the East Dalhousie Rd., then we took the #10 to New Germany. Damn SPOT.....given up our secrets. make that Ridge Rd. Marker 36 on SPOT.

Not many pics today. Went on the trail to Roxbury and as Fred mentioned the trail was very wet. It got to the point where there was no desire to continue with too much greasy mud for the tourance tires to handle. Even knobbies were not up to the mud challenge that we encountered. We made a command decision to turn around after 8 kilometers and grab a soda in Nictaux after we straightened out a mirror.

That's quite a hefty top box on that Sherpa, do you think it could handle the load, I was in Nictaux at the junction of 10 and 201 from about 1300 till 1600, didn't see you guys but then I was busy working, you know, the curse of the riding class.

After the pitstop for a drink, we hit the Nictaux to New Germany abandoned Rail line. Part way we took a detour and jumped in a river which was really flowing fast due to aforementioned 3 days of heavy rain. Temps were 27.5 C with humidity, so the freezing water helped lower the core temp.

First in was Fredgreen and then Nate jumped in later. The plan is to come back to this river for some fishing soon.

Back on the old rail line we were cruising along when a deer jumped in front of Fredgreen. FG hit the brakes and shortly thereafter I initiated the process to slow down the Big Grey Pig from Warp speed. Unfortunately I did not complete all the checks and got caught up in some large marble like gravel crap and went for the trees by the side of the track before I could get the BGP stopped.

After successfully high siding over the BGP I logged a fraction of a second of flight time followed by a perfect 3 point landing on my ribs, shoulder, and knee. Slightly winded I just lay there while Nate rushed to get his camera out.

Two streams join up to make this one stream in the picture. Overall this is a beautiful location to take a ride through. Lots of places to pull over and camp at, plus we saw one local fly fishing so that is all good too.

The southwest riders think you need to work less and ride more

That top box is on the KLR. A little comment. I mentioned in the New France portion that Fredgreen did not have duct tape and therefore could not be related to Redgreen. I now take that back after he did a major overhaul on the BGP in New Germany. No Duct tape but he has everything else in those boxes.

And I hope you and your BGP are OK. I was down in Kingsport area buzzing around the roads. It is really beautiful riding area down here. We must get Phil to show us the local roads and trails!!!
