They should make the entire road a passing zone then everyone would ride on the wrong side all the time and it would be safer

I wish I would have had a helmet cam or someone taking a pic of me coming around a 25mph posted blind corner,(damn corn fields) while trying to miss the loose gravel to find a Iowa Highway Patrol car 2ft over a double yellow in my lane! We missed by inches and I was too shook up to turn around and get a car #. You should have seen the look in his eyes, and mine too probably! I'm very glad I wasn't riding too fast and had room to change my line!!!

Good thing you didn't hit him, you KNOW you would be found totally at fault. Probably get charged with attempted assault on a police officer, or something like that.

Whereas a truck, it's proven can NOT safely navigate those roads without being LOC.

PS, LOC is illegal for both parties. But one of them can't get out of there w/o breaking the "law".

If you can not tell the difference in risk between a motorcycle exceeding the speed limit and a vehicle that is forced to use both lanes (and sometimes a bit more), then any discussion with you on the subject is completely useless.

Lots of public roads built for nothing but pleasure. Try the 400+ mile Blue Ridge Parkway for just one example! NO COMMERCIAL TRUCKS ALOWED on most of it.

There are plenty of roads where commercial trucks are not allowed!

The Cherohala just a few miles from the south end of Deals Gap
has no commercial traffic. It, along with the Forest Roads, are my
favorite rides.

But, I don't see folk bagging on "a" Joe making a mistake -
It is the number of "Joes" making mistakes and the number of
mistakes being made that is particular
to Deal's Gap.
