11 Day Trans Labrador Loop
I just returned home from riding around the Trans Labrador Highway, so I thought I would share some photos from the trip.
 Crossing over into Quebec at the Cumberland-Masson ferry.  Ferry crossing number two into Tadoussac.   Dinosaurs in Quebec   Manic 2  I really enjoyed 389 up to Manic 5. Corner after corner of fun!  The gang fueling up at Motel de l'Engerie   Manic 5!  Wow!    Taking a break at Relais Gabriel.  The stretch of pavement that runs north from Gagnon. Boring.  Hurray! It's gravel again.  The mine near Labrador City.   Labrador!  We camped in a RV park just outside of Labrador City. |

    Never waited a minute or more in construction zones.   "New" pavement.  Note the great weather in all of these photos!   Hotel North Two.  Taking a break.        The road down into Red Bay.  Our place in Red Bay for the night.   Goodbye Labrador, I'll be back!  Waiting in Blanc-Sablon. |

   We were unable to take the usual ferry over to St. Barbe since it was in St John's for repair. In the meantime they were using a freighter for the trucks and cars, but they didn't allow passengers.  So they flew us to Newfoundland!  We were only charged the regular ferry crossing price. Cheapest flight ever!  Long shuttle rides down the highway, but it was worth it for the fun flight.  Sorry for only two pictures in Gros Morne, but we had a ferry to catch.   MV Highlanders     The rooms on board the ferry are totally worth it.   I had my first ever flat tire in Halifax. Luckily I was at a friends and had a place to work on it.  While I was at it I picked up a new rear tire. I don't think this K60 would have made it back to Ontario.  Looks like it's time for the rain pants ahead.  Crossing from Rivière-du-Loup to Saint-Simeon for the ride home.   Rolled over 50,000km on the way home in Quebec. Not bad for a 2009. |
