That is djfire from gl1800riders.com and he has installed skid plates to make it spark extra like on purpose. He was using titanium blocks but I think he switch to steel.

Oh, I don'tknow. If I decide to get a full dress touring bike, the Goldwing would be at the top of my list.

Nope looks like she was having fun. Made the cover of the 2010 Gold Book (membership directory of who you can call if you need help, want info about an area, etc) for GWRRA

I used to have an 83 Yamaha Venture. Not quite as heavy as a Gold Wing (about 750 lbs) but hanging off the inside made a big difference. Almost everyone I rode with was on sportbikes so I rode the Venture like it was a sportbike.

And no, I did not drag my knee.

And the gold wing has better ground clearance than this little VF500F that I took to Pocono in 2009, the more you hang off the less the bike has to lean so the faster I could go to keep up and pass the bigger bikes.

Or during a training session in GA a few years ago, This little GZ250 has really crappy ground clearance that did not stop me from using it to actually catch and pass a Yamaha FJR 1300 on the short course where speed and HP did not help!

Hell, back before dragging a knee was cool I would chase go-karts on my DR125 with a rear trials tire, just leaned way out there with a metal plate wired to the bottom of my boot...

Damn kids these days, with their fancy knee pucks...

Yeah, that's right, I just hipstered yo asses with a hot-shoe reference.
