After having a CBR600 which never burned a drop of oil, I got a VTR1000 which it turned out burned some. I was of course poorly trained by the CBR and I had no idea it had run down close to zero over course of 2000 miles till the oil pressure switch started flickering under hard breaking. Big shock for me when I drained sump and 1/2 liter came out. Filled it back up. Ran like a champ for the next 15000 miles till I sold it. If I pulled that stunt on a KTM I'd be sourcing a new motor.

The Bad:
Reconstructed title, due to damaged plastics in it's previous life.
Fuel tank liner is flaking off, and will need to be stripped to be used.
Bike idles, but won't rev up.
There is a short in the fuel gauge, and the power to the Veypor gauge.

Like every bike on the planet they had an issue or two, but that's the first I've ever heard of oil consumption. For the most part, they are a great design. on the track, the way they put down power is just stupid fun.

He's got 47 hundred worth of goodies on it. Take that off the $6900 and you're REALLY only looking at $2200. For $2200 you'd be getting quite the deal for something like the ones used in a movie by some other people that none of us know. That's a sweet ride for two thousand bucks or so....
