Questions, comments, gripements, or complaints?
The Shinko's seem to be hit and miss. Some times you get good tire life from them, other times, the tires seem to fail prematurely. I've got a 705 on the rear of the KLR and its been fine, but other Shinko tires have been problematic for me. Tourances seem to be more consistent. Sure its great to save a buck on tires, but it sucks to be dealing with problems instead of riding. I've got a set of Anakee 2s in the garage for the GSA and some 606's for the KLR. I also have a spare set of wheels for the GSA with Tourances on them as well.

I'm not so worried about tire life at the 705's price. Have you noticed any difference between the 705 and Tourance on gravel? Everything I've seen says they're pretty similar off road.

So unless one of you has anything different to say I'm just going to replace the front.

Tourances lasted for the old me about 3400-3600 miles. The best mileage I've ever had. But

I have matured. I have found an inner peace. See .....the tire. Be ......the tire. I have turned over a new less-hooliganish leaf. I am just a calm fella now. <<,,Hush, now. Be quiet. You are disturbing that butterfly. >>>>

I expect to get 12K out a rear. Unless it is a Big Block. Then maybe 10K.I'm so looking forward to my first new ride. Fresh flowers. Soft puppies. Gentle inputs. Oooommmm. OOOooommm.

Does this mean that you'll be back in the saddle again soon?
And that I'll now be able to keep up with you?

Veriest, I plan to go back to my TKC/Tourance combo
Had high instructional value, however. Still regret not trying ether on it.
