The heated grips came in today. The directions if got for the lights said i had to remove the tank. That sounds hard did you remove your tank?

I've been lurking on here for a long time, finally something I can post. I do have some upcoming trips planned now that I have a bike I can do them on. All these pictures make me hate living in the Houston area, it is such a long ride to anyplace decent (unless someone on here knows otherwise and could enlighten me).

It is not that bad at all. There are two main bolts near the seat side and just some plastic pieces around the key area. There are also two bolts at the front of the tank from the underside. Take a look you will get it.

we saw the techs take the tanks off in Anchorage and vwdrv is right....takes time but not that bad.
