Ireland, been there seen that!

Mrs Bikemad wants to go for a weekend to the Dingle area next month, late birthday pressie, don’t ask.
I haven’t been there in 12 years, need suggestions where to stay (no camping), what roads to ride etc.

Nice B&B or smart hotel, not to far from any village, need to be able to walk to the pub, and back.

All suggestions would be welcome.

...and then some. Our friends in Scotland said that the previous year it had rained every single day from May to September. No one believes us when we talk about that trip. It was a very magical experience.

This was at the top of a mountain pass heading out of Glengarriff I think

A fascinating old graveyard in the middle of a golf course. The monks buried any bodies found on the local beach as well as parishoners.

Nice Hotel in Tralee is Ballyseede Castle. Great place, good food & Mrs Bikemad will love it.

All booked out any weekend in September Ah well.

its a bloody rip off, how they can justify jacking the price up to 3x that of any other road race is beyond me, the numbers of spectators were well down this year because of it. still some good racing though.
