85 GLI I picked up for 1k$ I just lost 4th gear, so i have to tear apart the engine and swap the shift forks.
![]() 85 GLA I picked up for 9hun. Everything works on it, and just needed a few details cleaned up like contacts, but everything works on it. ![]() I have a lead on a friends 85 GLi that doesn't shift out of first. We think it's the spring, but he doesn't want to mess with it, so I will. ![]() and -10 for changing the rear wheel on the 12's. have to pull the side cases, rear fender, pull the bottom shock bolts, jimmy the swingarm up to get the axle bolt out.... what a hassle. |

I stopped by a Honda dealer last week to kill some time between meetings, and they had three leftover 2010 GWs, all loaded and all in a department-of-public-works yellow color I really like. Anybody ever gone from an R1200RT to a Gold Wing and not regretted it?

Most reliable bike I have ever owned. 100,000 miles and no issues. I bought it to be sure to eliminate mechanical problems from my chances in the IBR. In 2005 the only issue was the plastic latch on the rear passenger arm rest broke. In 2007 It saved my ass when I bounced off a moose in the dark in New Brunswick. I rode it home via Alaska (leg 3) and St. Louis (finish) . It was written off when I got back to Vancouver with a bent frame. Not many bikes can do that.
Did I buy another one? No because it didn't give me the ride I wanted, it was simply a 2 wheeled Accord. Hence the KTM - God's motorcycle
