Question GPS+DeLorme Topo USA

I just bought the DeLorme software and was wondering what GPS to buy to go with it. As far as GPS's go I'm basically ignorant.
I know what they do but I don't know what brand, make or model to evan start with. I do know that I would like it to track, and have the major roads pre-loaded and to use it with the DeLorme software it must be NMEA? compatible. Within a range of $150 to $300 what would work best?

The Garmin Legend C would be great, you can get Garmin CD together with City Select and you're good to go.

Then check my site up :-)
