Nice to see your giant smile coming through your trip report. Africa does that to you, doesn't it?

Oh hell yes.
Now that we are back I can't wait to relive the trip thru your ride report! Seriously how good was that? It was a pleasure riding with you and I can't wait till we do it again. My jetlag is gone and my liver has started the healing process..

Looks Epic
really looks incredible, and in reality i'm never going to be able to get more than 3 weeks off before I just quit work altogether so trips like this are what I'm looking at
I just had a question about the riding itself - just how technical is it? I'd like to do it with my wife, and she can get down a dirt road just fine but if it involves steep climbs and really difficult terrain, we might both need some training. |

Great to see you doing a report! It was a great trip! We just got back to Tassie and are still dealing with the jet lag.
Be great to see some of your pictures. Hows that stubby cooler working?

Where are the people??
I spent several years in Africa, crossed it on a bike, 18,000 miles. The animals, geography, sunsets are all fine, but the best things about the continent are the people. On a tour like yours, you go where they lead, and SA tours certainly won't let you interact much with the, what ever they call them these days. My memories and pictures are of people, some animals, but there are so many it gets redundant. I suppose you can't expect too much from a few weeks where handlebar time is the prime objective. Try a year or two, and you'll have the time of your life.
