Evening my fello's.
I'm after some infomation on shipping agents in India' Calcutta to London.
20" container handlers.
Any info kindly appreciated.

That would be a 20' (foot) container.
Did I put inches, sorry.
The container would house a 4x4 and 2 GS 1200's.
We are setting off on our trip at the beginning of September 06.
Traveling through Europe, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India and finishing off in Katmandu.
Haven't got the time scale to ride home so will need to ship the goods back.
We are thinking about donating the vehicle to a charity if the cost is too much.
Any comments on the implications regarding the Carnet de passage would be gratefully received.

I should be a bout a year behind you. Do a lot of reading on the HU site. Butan is possible too.

Talk to both the Idian and Nepal embasies .. they may help!? Do you have someone in mind, if not let them suggest charities. They may not want the bikes - too big and heavy and too much fuel consumption.

There are shipments from 'Asia and Middle East' to 'Europe' on the HU site - I'd think the 4WD would be the most expensive thing to ship? And the easiest to give away to a charity. So ship the bikes back - no container required.
