Howdy!

I live in San Angelo, TX. I may be missing something, but, the 3 BS Threads listed for Tejas seem to be middle to eastern Tejas; Dallas, Austin, Waco, Huntsville, Houston, etc....

The closest one of those towns is over 200 miles away from me. Texas is a BIG state!

How bout we get a BS Thread for those of us in West Texas and the Pan Handle?

San Angelo, Ozona, Sonora, Junction, Ft. Stockton, Abilene, Odessa, Midland, Lubbock, Amarillo, El Paso, etc....

Or maybe it should be broken down into 2 separate BS Threads. West and Panhandle.

The lands of Texas are over 96% privately owned, so I usually go to Big Bend or to New Mexico to ride. I know of a few guys up toward Lubbock and Amarillo, but thats about it.

Live in Austin, I've been here about 6 mos, looking for some local guys to ride with. Currently riding a KLR 650, been riding a little over 2 years although I'm pushing 40, took me wile to stop listening to my mother. Willing to ride about anything within reason. More of a desination type of rider vs bar to bar. If I wanted to ride bar to bar I'd ride a Harley.

1. meet local riders,
2. find out about upcoming events/rides,
3. ask questions about local riding areas,
4. get assistance with wrenching, etc.

New to this site. Been riding about 50 years on 2 cylinders. I live in Magnolia have just been on disability (retired really at 61) still not allowed to ride yet, But not far off. Hope to be riding by August full time. Have an Airhead GS/PD I am ready to put some miles on. Any way a GREAT BIG SHOUT OUT TO ALL YOU.
