Blue Moon in Atlanta had a splendid Zundapp a few years ago, but the $31,000 price tag was a bit too rich. I have about a $4000 budget for my own rig... and got my Ural going for 3!

An Early KS750
This one belongs to a friend who works in the film industry. Some subtle differences, the fork legs are slightly shorter than later models, and extra grab handle, not much really!

You forgot Indian's contribution to the war effort. Here's a few of the guys on a buddies 640 Indian scout and sidecar at a WWII reenactment.
Oh-ya, he also does the reenactment of the Battle of the Bulge so snow is no problem for him ether....

I mentioned earlier that I ran a tour for some Dutch friends in the Ardennes. The first day it was -10c. Second day it was a nice -6c....
Here we have stopped at the King Tiger in La Gleize Belgium. |

MORE COWBELL!!!

Please pardon my stupidity, but was the KS750 a rigid fork and/or rear end? I see the springs for the saddle, but the forks look solid? For mechanical simplicity/strength?

They're girder forks. If you look closely, you can see the dog bones at each end of the headstock. ![]() Cheers, Mick. |

One downside of the KS750 is that Zundapp decided to make it very complex and well built, most of its bearing are needles. That includes suspension as well as the engine mains....... David zundappuk screwed with this post 10-20-2011 at 07:32 AM Reason: Stupidity |

Hey David
Fantastic pics of these rigs! I love the "in service" bike... Well loved! By the way- What are the three tubes running underneath the front seat? Are they a battery unit of some type? Id like to pm you with some other KS questions questions if you wouldnt mind. Cheers
