mmm, coffee before breaking camp
Great idea Steve. Payment sent for 2 of each. Too many fire bans around here last season to be able to count on making a campfire.
Thanks ![]()

these things rock!
Hello Steve!
I received my 2 stoves yesterday. Mere days after sending payment. Thank you very much. Went and picked up some Heet at wally world immediately and tested them last night to see how they work: Regular Stever stove: ![]() And the Simmer stove: ![]() Worked perfectly. The regular stove boiled a full pot of water in 4.5 minutes from lighting first time out. Admittedly this was inside, not out competing with any sort of temp. But still, awesome. Got up this morning. Made camp bread, sausages, and a bag omelette for my wife and I. ![]() ![]() Figured out that the regular stove is too hot for this....melted the bag. Also, trying to bag cook 3 eggs doesn't really work. So, less egg per bag, and do it over the simmer stove once the water boils. Didn't take any pictures of the camp bread, but it turned out perfect from the pan over the regular stove. I think i'm going to build up some sort of thing out of a small pie pan and some BBQ grating or something to put the stoves in after igniting for balance purposes. I'll post back when I get something that works. Thanks Steve! I am just beginning the process of becoming a good camper, as the cost savings will facilitate more riding. :) I am hoping these will become my permanent stoves. I see no need for carrying some MSR expensive thingamajig.....not really my style.....the bike is 50 year old design with points....these fit the bill. Buy his stoves! They REally work. Be safe all!

paypal just sent for one of each. I've been meaning to make an alc stove for a while now, but my procrastination tells me this is a much better deal than waiting around for me to make it!
Thanks, Scott |

I really need to source some methyl alcohol / methanol in Australia.
I tried my Stever Stoves with methylated spirits and although they worked, it was very messy with large orange flames, not the nice blue efficient flames I have seen in pics on here.

![]() The stoves worked a treat, they definitely need a wind shield but are a good piece of kit.
