My cousins had one growing up on the farm that we played with, there were RV90's with a dual range transmission High and Low with 4 gears in each. The RV125 is just the 4 gears. About 8hp and 2-stroke. Tons of fun AND street legal. My brothers bought one for nostalgia and I've had fun helping fix it up. It'll do about 50mph with me on it. In the US they were called Trackers. In Japan they were called VanVan's, which means "Go"? Later became 4 stroke and might have even come back to the US, but I have yet to see a US 4 stroke VanVan.

Kinda like a Honda FatCat or a Yamaha BW200, neither of which is street legal I think. Tires are hard to get and expensive, some close fits in ATV tires but not really. In the end we just paid out the nose for OEMS that we found online.

If anyone has spare parts, I'll pass your info onto my brother, he's restoring the bike now and really has it sorted out very well.

Selling NOS air pump / tire inflator on ebay. Sold the RV to a buddy but he didn't want the pump.

TrophyHunter recently sold me this beauty, I think it had three more miles on it than when he took the pictures he posted. I did a carb clean and adjust and she's running pretty darn good. It's a lot of fun to ride around town and is a conversation starter anywhere I stop.

Now to find tires....just not trusting the 40 year old tires too much.

Sorry to revive an old thread but if anyone reads through this and is looking for tyres, I bought one of the rears a few years back from www.jp-parts.com in Japan, I think it was about $200 AUD delivered to Australia. Still haven't put the thing on yet, sitting in the shed in parts

Cheers!

Oh, this is my first post as well :) Hello all!

That Suzuki is sweet. Reminds me of a Yamaha TW200. But one thing I don't get. They used solid wheels (no spokes) and it STILL had tube type tires? I love that it is a 2 stroke, though I wish it were bigger. The biggest issues with the TW200 are it's tube type tires, no centerstand, and not enough fuel capacity. These simple to correct issues seriously limit what would otherwise be a perfect bike to ride long distances off road.

I thought you guys in the states got skyteam bikes, they do a copy of the old beach bike and a 250cc raptor with similar style but more beefy?

What a cool little bike. Not Grom-ish at all. More like a Honda Trail90/110 with a better motor and seat. But even though it has steel disk wheels, it probably has tube type tires, and I don't see a centerstand. In fact it looks like the wheels may come apart, like an old Vespa. IMO the 2 stroke engine (and a real transmision) puts it way ahead of the Honda. 10 hp from 125cc. Way back then.

I was out riding my RV125 just this last weekend. I don't put a lot of miles on it, but it always brings a smile to my face. I stopped and had a beer, parked next to all the H-D's and had quite a few people ask me about the cool old bike.
