Good thread, thanks for starting it!
Gotta brag on my riding buddy, HayDuchessLives (whom I refer to as HayDee, as that's a lot easier to spell Her DR has taken her up the Dalton Hwy to Prudhoe Bay and to Inuvik on the Dempster in one ambitious summer, but we still make fun of it. ![]() Not only does she ride this DR all over Alaska and the Yukon, but she also bought another one so she can take this to the South 48 and leave it for fly and rides. ![]() In addition to being a great riding companion, she also lets me photograph her in goofy poses. ![]() ![]() ![]() Or playing with her food. ![]() On a recent ride through Denali National Park, when we were restricted to a single vehicle, she rode pillion and quite capably handled the photographic duties, getting hundreds of great shots along the way. ![]() ![]() During the winter, she chooses a different kind of adventure - ![]() Never a dull moment when you're around this gal.

Her fair share...
We don't do too much hard-core off road riding, but we DO get our share of travels in, she's game for anything that way:

Her only gripe is that faded to pink in certain areas like the shoulders in fairly short order, but it does get used in the California sun a lot...(last picture taken at 122 degrees near Death Valley) For the price, she's a bit unhappy that, but prefers it to all others in her possesion (3 or 4 more)

Thanks for the feedback. We live in Colorado and have more than 300+ days of sunshine a year so fading is a concern. I have a grey Tourmaster mesh jacket that started out black. She sold off two of her jackets and bought an Olympia 3 layer set up two years ago. Been a great jacket. Just think she is craving a new one since I just bought new gear. ![]() .....and we know the desert feeling. This was taken between San Diego and Havasu. Temp was around 116. ( sept of 09)

This summer, my wife and I rode across Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky and back. It was her first trip riding her own motorcycle.
Here is a picture of her looking for a cell phone signal while taking a break. ![]() Here is her motorcycle, loaded up for the trip.

![]() ![]() ![]() My lady friend feels she takes too much flak for her bike-loading style. She took off this summer on an "ironbutt" with nothing other than a large bird-feeder strapped to the pillion. (It was for some ADV friends, and riding it there was cheaper than shipping.) ![]() There's gonna be some sisterly love goin' around now, let me tell you.

![]() Didn't take long before she wanted something with a bit more oomph. And a bit more Pink... ![]() And she's still nice to look at when you arrive at your destination.
