leaky tank

Hey guys.
I have an 01 sherco 2.9 with a leaky gas tank.
Any suggestions as to what will fix it for more than a couple of weeks?
I have tried JB Weld and a few other things so far.
From what I hear, it's a pretty common problem with these bikes, so there must be something out there.
Besides a $240 new tank

I think he tried to say he had good luck with the stuff from the Stihl Chainsaw dealer?

Wondering if he's saying Stihl hadsome product, or the dealer had found some product?

I have never tried it on a Sherco tank but I have done some plastic tanks and I have had good luck with the plastic gas tank repair stuff from the Stihl chainsaw dealer

I think that it was Stihl brand stuff but I don’t really remember

This same thing happened on my 2.9 Well, almost the same. The plastic where the petcock mounts to the tank got all weak and flimsy. I tried many different things, then eventually schlepped some JB Weld all over it in hopes that I could get another few rides out of her. That was more than a few rides ago, and no problems yet. I'll be looking for a new tank from RYP when it finally breaks.

Zed I have some stuff in my garage that worked on my gg tank,( the petcock nuts just spin in the tank). Its called Poxy for Pros. Slow setting two part epoxy, 3500psi with a working time of 30 minutes. It cures clear and hard. If you want to use it let me know.
